Lime Crime Coquette.

Hello friends,

At the beginning of March I decided to try out the brand Lime Crime. I'd heard so many good things about their lipsticks from other bloggers so I thought I'd give one a try! I got the lipstick in the shade Coquette. It's one of there more wearable shades of the range!
They are a bit cheaper than Mac at around £12.50 (still not cheap) and the packaging is really bomb! ;-)

Lime Crime prides themselves on the premise that their products are cruelty free and vegan friendly. They have a wild variety of shades from bright yellow to black lip shades! They also do other makeup products like eyeshadow and pigments.

I'm not the type of person that can pull off wacky shades so i do tend to stick to my comfort zones when it comes to lips! (Nude, nude, nude
Even a red can look too OUT there on me sometimes!

In the tube it appears quite orange but on the lips its more of a muted coraly nude and it's gorgeous!! The formula is very thick and opaque, definitely a matte/satin finish and can look quite drying if you've got dry lips so exfoliating is key!

I really love this lipstick and I'm so glad I bought it! I can't wait to collect more of them!
I bought it from a website called Love makeup and this guy was hard to get hold of!

What shade should I try next?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day my lovely's!

I hope you all have a wonderful day whether your single or in a relationship!

I got the chance to pick my present this year! As much as I love surprises I also enjoy picking something that I wouldn't really buy for myself!

I've wanted to try YSL for a while and I always catch myself staring at the Rouge Volupte lipsticks because the packaging is just bomb!

They're just so luxurious and you can tell it's brilliant quality just by holding one! So I thought why the hell not!?

I got it in the shade 1 Nude Beige, which is a nice natural pinky nude. I didn't want to get something too out of my comfort zone and never use it, so I went for this one. I'm so excited to use it but I also just want to stare at it for eternity!

I've longed after the YSL black opium for so long now but just never thought about getting it. So when my boyfriend asked me what I wanted I knew I had this in my mind. I love the smell! It's like a rich vanilla scent. I find it very alluring and the black and blue glittered bottle is elegant and sultry! ;-)

This also came in a gift set with a YSL makeup bag, a mini sample of a YSL eye liner and a mini mascara sample. I'm excited to try them out too so I can see if this brand is worth investing in!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you were all spoilt rotten or spoiled yourselves!

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Pot - Christmas Palette

Hi guys,
It's been about 3 months i know! I've been super busy and i just haven't really bought any new makeup since my birthday so I'm making up for my absence now ;)

So yesterday was pay day and naturally that means I have to go out and spend all my wages on MORE makeup!

I love this time of year when the weather starts to get crisp and cold and the shelves start to stock up with all the Christmas bits!

When i went to Debenhams I came across Benefit's gorgeous new Christmas deals. I was going there to pick up Hoola bronzer as I've never tried it, when the sales woman came over and won me over with this "Cheeky Sweet Pot" palette! You get 5 blushers, one bronzer, a brush and a highlighter. Can we just take a moment for the packaging please! It is bomb! It's reminds me of a sort of gingerbreadesque styled house. I Blooming love it!

The products include Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Coralista, Rockateur, Hoola and Watt's Up!
I already have Rockateur and I love it so so much, so the fact that I've got a backup now is awesome and i went in to try Hoola anyway, so for £26.55 I've got 6 blushers for the price of one!

Now they're not full sizes but most of them are 5oz and a full size is generally 8oz!
This way i can try them all and pick my faves!
It was originally £29.50 but Debenhams had 10% off which swayed me more!

Overall loving this purchase and i feel that it's real value for money!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR Review.

Hello there my lovelys!

Well i know i haven't posted daily yet but i said i would try! ;)
So today i wanted to do a sort of review slash my daily eye look...
I bought the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold about 6 months ago... maybe even longer than that and I've used it a few times but just didn't really know what to wear it with or how to wear it as most of my eye looks tend to be more neutral browns than pinks. That was until the Naked 3 came out and changed the game for me!

I wear this colour tattoo as an eyeshadow base or primer when I'm using the Naked 3 palette as it matches a few of the shades perfectly and it really helps the shadows last longer and stand out more.

The base is a creamy consistency when you apply it and it has quite good pigmentation for such a light shade.  It dry's in about ten seconds and when it does it doesn't budge which is awesome!!
The lasting power i would say is a good 10 hours maybe longer but i don't tend to wear my makeup longer than that. I just know that when i go to take my makeup off it's still there. It doesn't go patchy on me and it just looks lovely on the eyes. My eyes are brown so when i use it the gold flex bring out the gold tones in my eyes which i love! I would even wear this on it's own without the naked 3 on top and just blend a warm brown into the crease to make it warmer.

The Colour Tattoo's are very affordable and wont break the bank! They're about £4.99 in most places and I think they're comparable to the MAC Paint Pots but no where near the steep price tag!

As it's spring I've decided to ditch the thick winged liner and I've just stuck to very fresh eye looks that make my eyes appear bigger and brighter. If i do wear eye liner i only line my water line and it's usually in brown as it looks softer and not so harsh or I'll smoke out brown liner on my lash line for a night look.

The Naked 3 compliments this base so much that when you use any of the darker shades in the crease for some depth, it just looks really put together and like you tried hard when actually it took about a minute or two! Don't worry if you can't afford the Naked 3 tho! You don't need high end products to get the same effect. You can totally re create this with either the colour tattoo and any brown eyeshadow or you can mix your eye shadows to make a rose gold by using a pink and a gold together with a light brown.

This simple eye look also makes your lashes stand out a lot as you're eyes look more awake and the attention is being brought to them.
For a complete makeup look i use Rockateur boxed blush by benefit to carry on the rose gold theme and either a nude gloss or a colour close to my natural lip colour.
Spring makeup is all about looking fresh and natural and i think the over done looks are just best saved for clubbing or darker seasons.

I hope you guys enjoyed!

What are your favourite looks for spring?

January Favourites!

Hello my lovelys!

I can not believe it is February already! Time goes way to fast....
So today's post is going to be my January favourites.

For Christmas i got the NARS Sheer glow foundation and i have been using this everyday since! I love this foundation so much and i think i really need to calm down on the usage as it costs £31 a bottle!
The lightest application makes my skin look healthy and the redness disappears. It is has buildable coverage to medium but it's not great at concealing blemishes and dark circles so I'll always use a concealer on top for a flawless coverage. I would say the lasting time is about 6-8 hours depending on the thickness. I'm not really sure it 'glows' but it has a bit of dewiness throughout the day .I'm matched in the shade Mont Blanc and i feel like it's a tad dark as I'm so pale right now. I've also been breaking out a lot lately around my chin so I'm planning on using something else for a while to see if it's the foundation.. I really hope its not because it's my favourite foundation ever!

I picked up these two mascara's before Christmas at TK Maxx and i absolutely adore them! I use the L'oreal telescopic explosion first to add volume to my lashes and i then go over it with the L'oreal telescopic clear and this gets clumps out, lengthens and separates. Together these are the BOMB! my lashes look full and long and they were £3.99 each instead of  £10.99 each! i'm pretty sure you can find them on Amazon or ebay for around the price i got them.

As i recently did a post on the Collection 2000 extreme 24hr felt liner you'll already know that i adore this! So easy to apply, so quick, so black and lasts really long! Can't go wrong for £2.99.

I got this paint pot by MAC in Utterly Becoming for Christmas in the limited edition gift set and i love this a lot. It's a great base for eye shadows as it blurs out veins and imperfections making sure that your eyeshadow is true to colour and lasts all day long. I'll even wear this on days when i don't want to wear eyeshadow because when i apply my eyeliner it doesn't transfer anywhere on my lid. Which is my pet peeve! It's a shame it's no longer available as I'll really have to make this one last but I've used it non stop so far and I've barley made a dent so i think it will last me a while anyway.

Again as i recently did a post on how much i love Snob by MAC, it probably comes as no surprise to you! I just love the colour on me. It's a great shade of pink that is light enough for everyday to make you look put together and it's simple enough to finish off a night time smokey look without having too much going on!

And finally I've been loving this Wet N Wild eyeshadow trio in walking on egg shells. This look I've been wearing everyday almost. The lid colour is a gorgeous shimmery pink which just brightens up your eyes, the crease colour is a shimmery brown but when you blend it, it looks matte. It's the perfect crease colour as it pulls the eye look together and creates a lot of dimension and the highlight is a beautiful white/ silver shimmer and really compliments my skin tone. My friend got me this from Florida but 'm sure you can find it online.

I really made an effort to try new things this month as last year everything was very samey!
So i will make a conscious effort to do the same in February!

What is your favourite product of the month?

January Haul!

Hey guys!

So at the end of December and the beginning of January I purchased some new items! Not that i need any more!

First if all i went to MAC and i have a huge list of things i want... it just seems to get bigger! I have always wanted to try fix+ so i purchased that. So far I'm loving it for refreshing my face during the day, you can set your makeup with it and make your eye shadow pigments stand out more and stick so there's less fallout when applying which is great for me as I'm a messy worker! You get quite a lot in a bottle and you really don't use that much so in my opinion its worth the money.

Then i heard a few good things about the MAC mineralised skinfinish natural, so i decided to give that a go as i get a very oily t-zone during the day. I don't really know how i feel about it yet as i don't tend to use powder on my dry patches and i just focus it on the oily areas. So i haven't used it much. One thing i would say is that it's a tad dark so I'll have to test it when i have a tan.

I've been wanting to try Maybelline's browdrama for a while now as i have quite bushy, thick dark brows so i wanted a nice tinted gel that would keep them in shape. Honestly, so far i can't really tell if i see much of a difference in them but that could just be because I'm so dark. So i would try it if you're fair.

Then i picked up the MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer in reckless, I don't really wear red's much but i wanted to try something that i wouldn't have to constantly re apply. The pigmentation is incredible on these bad boys! the finish is matte but a velvet like feeling. It does feel quite drying after a while and it does crack a bit but its only £3 so it was worth a go!

Now every time i go into Superdrug i always love the look of the Accessorize makeup, so i swatched a few blushes and i picked up this one and its just a light pinky gold baked blush, the one i wanted was out of stock so i thought I'd try it and I've used this twice, i dropped it so it smashed!! :(
However, it was only £3.95 so i don't mind so much as i can just pick another one up!

I was also intrigued by this dark purpley lip stick by Accsesorize as i love the whole dark berry lips for winter so i wanted to try that out. To be honest, i can't really say how i feel about it yet as I'm trying to wear it but it's just a really hard colour to work with. I'll keep trying though because i love the shade!

Also from MUA I kept looking at the Undress your skin highlighter which looks like a dupe for the MAC  Extra dimension highlighter as the pattern is so similar. The colour of this in the pan looks quite pink but when you swatch it, it's actually quite white. Which is what attracted me to it. On the skin it looks really natural and it was on offer so i think it was £2.50 which is a bargain!

So that is all i've bought so far this month. I've already broken my new years resolution of trying to do a post 3 times a week but hey... im only human!

The Best Eyeliner Ever!

Hey guys,

So today's post is on the Collection 2000 Extreme 24 hour felt tip liner.
This liner is the best liner I've ever used. It makes winged eyeliner so easy to do! It literally takes seconds. It's a really opaque black colour too so you don't have to keep building the colour up.

It's a bargain at £2.99! And i recommend this to everyone because even if you hate it, it didn't break the bank! I also think its on offer currently at Superdrug for £2.49.
It lasts a really long time too... I can put this on at 8am and by 11-12pm its still on without smudging or leaking down my face. Its not patchy either.
Seriously try it! I couldn't live without it and I need to buy more backups because i use it so much.

What makeup product couldn't you live without?

MAC Snob Review.

Hey guys!

So for Christmas i was given some money to buy what i wanted at MAC. So i went on the 27th December and I bought the best lipstick I've ever owned! Snob by MAC.

I have worn this lip stick non stop since i bought it and i love it so much! It's the perfect pinkie nude colour and it's really wearable. You can wear it with a smokey dark eye or a soft look and still look really put together.
It is a Satin finish lipstick and  i would say that it is semi matte and its very soft and really pigmented.
The colour its self is a cool toned pink so it's got some lilac and blue tones in it which make my teeth appear whiter. It lasts around 2 maybe 3 hours if you're not drinking or eating.
I absolutely love it! Best MAC purchase, Best lipstick, Best product i own!

FOTD

Hey guys!

So today's post is going to be a FOTD (face of the day)... I'm always intrigued to see what other people are wearing, this has been my go to look since Christmas. I hope you enjoy!

The first thing I do is use my Nivea hydrating primer, I just dot a pea sized amount on the four parts of my face. I've got dry skin normally but this week it's been especially dry so this is perfect as it lets my foundation glide on flawlessly without it clinging to dry patches.

Then I take some of my Nars sheer glow foundation in Mont Blanc onto a real techniques expert face brush and dot my foundation around my face. I then blend all the foundation on my face in circular motions and stippling movements to make sure that there are no brush marks on my face. This foundation is so lovely! It's very light coverage but buildable. With one layer it looks like what my skin would look like without the redness. I then add a tiny bit more to the areas that need more coverage.

Next I get my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer and I just place this under my eyes, bridge of my nose, chin and cupids bow so that when it's blended I get a nice natural highlight. Then I contour using my Sleek contour and blush kit... Dusting the rose gold blush on the apples of my cheeks and the gorgeous shimmer to my cheekbones. Then blend everything out with a clean brush so there are no harsh lines. I then dab my MAC Mineralised Skin Finish Natural in medium around my tzone. i never sweep my powder as it moves all the product around and i only need it on my tzone so i don't use much anyway.

Now onto the eyes... I prime my eyelids using my MAC Pro longwear Paint Pot in Utterly Becoming and take my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and sweep Foxy across my eyelid, I then take the shade Naked 2 into my crease to just warm the look up and create some dimension. I blend this out until I get the desired effect and add Venus to my brow bone and tear duct as a highlight. I go over my eyebrows with Faint from the palette and use my Maybelline BrowDrama in dark brown to set my brows.
Next I take my Collection 2000 24 hour extreme felt tip liner in black and draw my winged liner and apply my Rimmel pencil liner on my water line. For my mascara I have been using the L'oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara in black first as it covers all my lashes in product and gives me volume and to brush it all out so it's not clumpy I take L'oreal Telescopic Clean Definition mascara and add this to my top and lower lashes. The combination of the two together and in that order is incredible. My lashes look fake! I got both of these from TJ MAXX if you're looking for them, otherwise Amazon or Ebay sell them.

Once all my makeup is applied I then set my face with MAC fix+ and add my lip colour which is Snob by Mac and I absolutely love this lipstick. It's a very cool toned pinky lilac coloured lipstick.

What's your daily face?

What I Got For Christmas 2013!

Hey guys!

So today i thought I'd show you what i got for Christmas. Just a disclaimer in no way am i bragging and i am extremely grateful for everything i received. :)
First of all i woke up at 3.45am Christmas morning and woke up my siblings and parents to open the presents from Santa!

After i opened my stocking fillers i then went on to my main gift from my parents and i was so happy to find the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette. I gave my mum a selection of 3 to choose from as I'm a big kid and love surprises. I really wanted this one as it was limited edition until Christmas.

I love how every eye Shadow is different yet equally stunning! I love everything about this palette but I'm not going to go into detail because i want to do a separate post on it.

Then i went to my friends house for Christmas dinner and a party and we all exchanged gifts.

The first thing i opened was the MAC green cleanser gel and i was really happy with it as i love all things MAC, and I've actually been looking for a new cleanser as my skin is in really bad condition. So I'm trying this out and so far i love it!

The next present i opened was Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Mont Blanc.. and i knew i was getting this as i needed to be colour matched, but i was happy none the less as I'd been waiting to try it for days.

I'm one of those really sad people who likes items in the original packaging and keeps boxes and perfume bottles even if they're empty.. I'm trying to limit the amount of boxes i keep now so i just take pictures with them in or next to the packaging so i have something pretty to look at! I'm so weird...

Anyway the next thing i got was the M.A.C limited edition stroke of midnight eye kit in nude. Now at first i didn't want this.. In fact i told people i didn't want it but the more i look at it and play with it the more i love it. I love the packaging its so sleek and chic. You get a makeup bag with the monochrome pattern and gold piping, the MAC In Extreme Dimension Lash mascara, the MAC Fluidline in the shade Past Twilight which is like a browny purpley black shade, MAC Pro Long wear Paint Pot in Utterly Becoming and the Double-Ended 209 Eye Liner brush and the 239SE Eye Shader Brush.
 Love love love it!

Then the next gift i got was the Black Gucci Guilty perfume! I love this perfume so much. It just smells expensive and classy.. it's not like Britney spears perfume.. which i have nothing against as i like it.. but i think at 22 i need to start smelling a bit less like a teenager and more like a woman and this is the one for me. It reminds me of black cherries.. i don't know why. It could be because i have an obsession with anything cherry. I can't explain the smell of it... just amazing!

Then i got the N07 3 for 2 gift sets that boots do every Christmas... Now i don't have many no7 products and i haven't ever wanted to buy them because they're so expensive for a high street brand but i don't mind being given them :)

Firstly i got the N07 brush set... I need new makeup brushes, and not just new ones, good ones. I love the real techniques brushes, so i was going to buy those with Christmas money but now I'll try these out before i do. Individually these brushes are quite pricey so i think i got a pretty good set to be honest as all of them are soft and don't leave stray hairs all over my face when i use them. I think the powder brush is actually a good match for the real techniques powder brush so I'm happy i got that one. Foundation brushes i don't tend to use to apply my foundation as i use the real techniques expert face brush and i love the finish that gives so I'm excited to try this one out. It then comes with a smokey eyeliner brush which i use as a pencil brush for shadow under my lower lash line or to smoke out my eyeliner, the next one is the eyeshadow blend and contour brush which i find is quite similar to the MAC 217 brush and I'm always in need of extra blending brushes. And finally it comes with a lip brush which is not the typical pointed tip style its just straight but i used it today and i like it. All of these brushes come with a little purple N07 case to travel with which is cool :)

Then i got N07 the lips collection and its just a really cute little set that comes with 5 lip glosses that start from a nude/clear glossy shade, then a baby pink shade, a bright pink shade, a coral/ orange shade and a dark/bright pink shade. All of these glosses are glittery/shimmery and they all smell of strawberries which reminds me of being a kid and getting your first makeup! They're not sticky at all which i actually prefer as i don't like getting hair stuck to my lips in this classic British weather we have!

The 3rd 3 for 2 N07 gift i received was the Beautiful Skin wash set. It comes in this big purple bubble wash bag which has two big dividers inside and i find it so useful and it makes me want to take more care of my skin. Inside you get a purple body wash sponge which is in my bathroom so i don't have a picture of that, a pack of 30 beautiful skin wipes for all skin types. These wipes are actually really good and manage to get off waterproof mascara really easily. Then there's the blissful body wash and the completely quenched body lotion which I'm still yet to try, the protect and perfect day and night cream which i have used every day/night since i got it and the beautiful skin radiance exfoliator.

I've been wanting a hair waver since summer as i feel that my hair is either curly or straight and i thought it would be a nice change  to try something different. I've used this once and at first i was really scared to use it as it isn't the most self explanatory tool! However, it is really easy to use and it does exactly what it says on the box! It gives more of a crimped/braided effect than a wave when it's all done but i love it regardless as it looks like a more effortless style that i just rolled out of bed after braiding my hair. The only thing i would say is if you brush them out they fall out a bit. I've only tried it once so I'll have to practise more and try to get my hair the way i like it.

I had a gift card to spend at MAC to pick out the things i wanted so i went for MAC fix+ which I've wanted for ages and have heard great things about, then i got MAC mineralised skin finish in medium as I've been needing a really good powder and this was recommended to me by the woman who helped me. And finally i got Snob by MAC which is a satin lipstick. I absolutely love how this looks on me! Such a gorgeous colour.

I got so many sweets and chocolates for Christmas as well as an orange in the bottom of my stocking, but these are by far my favourites! As i said earlier I'm obsessed with cherries and these Thornton's chocolates are just amazing... I'm not a fan of Thornton's because its all truffles and i like truffles but not too many if that makes sense. I'm not a massive chocolate fan anyway as anyone who has tried to get me anything for Easter before will know, but these are just heaven!

Then with the Christmas money i received from family and friends i got a few extra bits and bobs. I got the pretty porefect little set from benefit as I've been wanting the Porefessional for about 6 months now. It was the same price as the primer on its own as it was to get this little set and i love trying samples so i thought why not. It was £24.50 and it comes with a mini jar of it's potent eye cream and a mini tube of "that gal" primer and the full size Porefessional. I can't wait to try this :)

I've been wanting a Ted Baker patent leather purse since i got my Ted Baker bag for my birthday like 2 years ago and I've always been put off by the price as its £75 and I'm usually in and out of work so i can't really justify spending that much on a purse... However, yesterday i was on a mission in the sales and i found the only reduced black purse out of about 4 stores that sell them where i live. I ended up getting it from the House of Fraser and it was £75 reduced to £53! Its the Kassady crystal large flap over purse and It comes in this cute little lime green box with a little stamp on which is adorable and the purse itself is just lush! The inside is cream and it has little boxer puppies (i think). Its a really god size for me and it has loads of card holders. Well worth the money... I love it!

As i received quite a few new makeup brushes i didn't really see the point in buying more if i didn't really need them. One brush i did need and want was the Real Techniques Blush Brush. Now this brush is the hardest brush to track down! Literally every time i go to Boots or Superdrug it's out of stock! I was lucky to find it to be honest... i saw another girl gunning for it so i grabbed it quickly ;) I haven't really tested it out yet but its super soft like the other brushes from the collection and i love the shape, it gives you a more precise application.

The final thing I got for Christmas was this gorgeous DKNY handbag from the House Of Frasier! Its the Saffiano large black tote bag for anyone interested. I got this with my Christmas money and I absolutely love this bag.. I wanted something classic and that would go with everything. It came in a dust bag too so that excites me as every time I go to bed I have to put it back in its original packaging.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have a great New year. See you all in 2014 for more beauty posts!

Benefit Rockateur First Impressions.

Hey guys!

So todays post is just going to be a quick first impression.

Yesterday I went into Cardiff to start my Christmas shopping, only to find that i had forgotten my purse! Only i would do something so stupid! So with the tiny bit of cash i did have on me i decided to make the most of it and treat myself...

I went into Debenhams to find that they had a 15% off beauty and fragrance sale on so naturally I checked out the benefit counter!

The girl in the store was lovely and really helpful and it was actually a pleasant experience, unlike so many I've had before when the staff are so pushy and rude.
So I asked her if i could try the Rockateur  boxed blusher as I've heard so many good things about it but never really thought it looked that great.

I don't really know if i like the packaging... I love that its in a small box that comes with a mirror and a handy little travel brush but i don't like the gold snakeskin look, I love the black and pink lace detail though.

I love the Rock motif in the centre of the blush but after one use it's starting to fade away... I hate using new products as i just want to keep them pretty.

It was originally £23.50 but it was 15% off so it was £19.97 and i think this offer is only on until tomorrow.

The blush itself is a lovely rose gold / bronze colour and it has flex of gold shimmer which gives the blush a beautiful warm glow on the cheeks.

I really like this blusher, it sort of has the smell of soap though when you open the box which can be too much but you can't smell it when it's on the skin. It lasts all day and it gives the effect of a warm, bronzed, healthy, glowing complexion. I can't wait to try it out some more!
